Long Live Rembrandt

This is my submission for the summer exhibition #langleverembrandt organised by The Rijksmuseum . I named it ‘Feathers and Rosemary; a tribute to Saskia’. This painting is inspired of the painting of ‘Saskia in rijk kostuum’ located in Kassel. After her death Rembrandt added a feather on her hat and rosemary in her hand as symbol for lovely memories of his beloved wife. More and more respect for this Master of fabric expression and dark/light.
A few of the paintings will exposed in june 2019 in The Rijksmuseum in front of the master himself.
